The new kids on the block (Gen Z) believe in keeping it real with authenticity, inclusivity and autonomy. They champion transparent communication, chase opportunities for personal and professional growth and covet & collect commemorative NFTs. They are painstakingly notorious for prioritising work-life balance, flexibility and mental health. They want to live forever.
To effectively engage with Gen Z, leaders need to be incredibly approachable—think of it as adopting an open-door policy without any doors in the way! They must promote open communication like the latest viral trends, support professional development and adapt to new technologies faster than you can say “Web fatigue”.
By cultivating a supportive environment that promotes new experiences and avenues for growth and career advancement, leaders can build high-performing teams that attract and retain Gen Z talent like moths drawn to a glow-y smartphone screen.
